Why yes, he is awesome! This is one of the most fun and creative ideas I've heard in a while ... sort of like a scavenger hunt, but in reverse; instead of embarking on his travels with the question, "Where can I find a ceramic doorknob with a half-baked E.T.-face on it?" ... he starts each new journey by saying, "I wonder what I'll get for this fish pen." How cool.
And he's a super-cutie, too; is this guy single, I wonder? Maybe he could trade something for a date with me! Not sure this would get him any closer to securing that house he wants, but it sure would get me closer to him!
Now I am inspired to trade the scissors on my desk for something, with the ultimate prize being a big wad of cash. I realize that this is not exactly in tune with the "bartering item for item" idea, but I've got debts to repay. Ah, the lure of the Almighty Dollar.
Franz and I are in town. Franz left a message for Hart on his work phone, b/c the other number we had is disconnected. If you guys want to get together for dinner while we are here, give us a call. The number is on his v.m.
About 10 years ago, Hart’s mom gave him a gold plastic-framed refrigerator magnet of a fictional Hart family crest that she found in England. She presented the gift with the explanation that every home needs a little kitsch. It inspired us to collect refrigerator magnets from everywhere we travel – the tackier the better. We use our dozens of magnets to hang the paper our life generates; similarly, we use Tacky Magnet to post updates on our life and travels.

Thanks for sharing this!
Hey Kerrie and Hart,
Franz and I are in town. Franz left a message for Hart on his work phone, b/c the other number we had is disconnected. If you guys want to get together for dinner while we are here, give us a call. The number is on his v.m.
Cheers!
Sherry
