Update

The stone surround around the fireplace has been put in, the chimney has been painted and the new flooring has its final coat of finish. The sconces above the fireplace will probably be put up today. I hope to have pictures to share tomorrow.

The floor was finished yesterday, so we're staying with our friends Annie and Mark for the rest of the week. They only live a couple miles away, but being in a new neighborhood makes my daily activities quite different. It is like being a tourist in my own city.
