Kerrie's Outrage

I'm outraged and have to bring you all in on it, even if you don't agree with me.

Last night the house passed an amendment banning women from ground combat (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7909442/). This is an amendment is part of a $442 billion defense spending bill.

Then there's the the alteration to Title IX that passed last month. It allows e-mailed surveys to be considered an accurate assessment of girls' interest in sports. (http://www.mndaily.com/articles/2005/05/05/64515)

What the hell? How are we letting this happen? Is this the result of girls and women taking their equality for granted? Is there anything we can do?

Arrugh!

No way ... we women are not to blame. I blame George Bush, not only because I blame him for everything bad in the world but also because such idiotic laws are easily passed through under his leadership. People feel free to act like morons when the captain of the ship is a fucking idiot. Love the disclaimer at the end of your post; I laughed out loud!
