Guides to home organization always say to keep a donation box going at all times. While I'm really good at getting the box started, I'm not so good at actually making the donation. For the third time since we moved here, our donation boxes, bags and piles are threatening to take over the dining room. With guests coming to dinner twice this week, this is a bit of a problem.

I was so delighted to discover that you can now schedule Salvation Army pick ups online that I had to share the news. You can see when the truck will be in your neighborhood, make changes to the list of items that you're donating and print receipts from past donations.
