Randy and Talisyn's Minnesota Reception
Knowing the whole group would be in Minnesota for Randy and Talisyn's reception was enough for us to impulsively decide to spend this past weekend in the Twin Cities. We crammed as many activities into the short stay as we could, including visits with Lisa, a dear friend of mine from college; coffee with Megan, Hart's sister; and lots of hanging out with the Macalester folks.
This photo is the only bachelor party picture that is authorized for release. Although it looks posed, these are genuine reactions to the video game that they are playing.

Andy's wedding gift to Randy and Talisyn was this tiered cheesecake that he and his friend Siobhan made and decorated. In the months preceding the reception, they experimented with crust height, cake density, fondant and all the other technical aspects of cake decorating. Although Andy and Siobhan concluded that there is a reason no professional outfit offers tiered cheesecake, the cake tasted delicious and looked gorgeous.

Andy and Siobhan also made cupcakes for non-cheesecake eaters. Randy's decorations on the cupcakes were a huge hit.

Broomball was included on the formal invitation to the reception. After cutting the cake, Talisyn put on her boots and a scarf to kick off the game. She only played in her wedding attire for about 10 minutes before she changed into warmer clothes, but her willingness to brave the elements bespeaks her eagerness and good humor.

Lisa and I strike our traditional photo pose.

Great photos!
Just for the sake of accuracy, I feel I should point out that her name is actually spelled (unintuitively) "Siobhan".
