Re-entry
We arrived in Seattle at 11:30 p.m. on Monday and were so glad to get back to our house. Nothing is "normal" yet, but we're both enthusiastic about tackling our work, projects and goals. We are so thankful that we were able to take two months from our lives for a wonderful trip and are both rejuvenated.
Hart went back to work yesterday and is still trying to adjust to being back. Last night he played Halo 2 on X-box Live with Shahv (Hart's sister's fiance) and his friends, then played Half Life 2 after I went to bed. One of the goals we discussed on our trip was to help him detach from work; blowing up aliens is certainly one component of enacting the plan.
In the last 26 hours, I've had three lattes, purged my closet of half my clothes and went to work on thinning Hart's closet, moved our bed around (and back again), began designing our fireplace, shopped for kitchen cabinets, bought a wreath for the front door, scrubbed down the bathroom, and gone grocery shopping twice. With all this bouncing around, I haven't accomplished much, but I feel like I've put many ideas in motion. Now I'm off to make a list of projects and order them by importance so I don't just spin my wheels.
