Dragon's Teeth
On Sunday we drove to a spot in west Maui called the Dragon's Teeth. It's one of the most recent lava flows from the west Maui volcano (no worries...it was hundreds, if not thousands, of years ago) and the tag-team effort of the surf and the wind has created some cool formations. They look like jagged teeth, hence the name.
We were there at sunset, which was great. The tide was coming in and the surf was high, so there were great plumes of mist every time a wave hit the rocky outcropping we were on. That and the fiery sky made for a beautiful scene.

Hart, Such beautiful photography! I think you need to give me some lessons. We've really enjoyed the photos.

Isn't Maui beautiful. When you said Costco, Walmart, Old Navy and so on, I knew exactly where you were. They are all so close together, not to mention that there's only one of them on the island. When we went to Maui in October a couple years ago, I found it really weird that Old Navy was selling these really cold weather clothes in Hawaii. I wonder how they do in sales of that stuff. I can't imagine needing a big heavy winter coat living on Maui - Hmmm. Anyway, I can't wait for you guys to get back to AZ. I only have 3 more working days and then off for 2 weeks. Yippee. Take care,
Love Megan
PS - Dylan hates Santa. We've tried getting his picture taken with him twice now and both times they refunded my money.
