Waterfalls and Honey
Continuing our progression south, we made it Taupo on Sunday night. The holiday park had a strict checkout time of 10 a.m., so we got an early start on Monday to visit Huka Falls and the Honey Hive, both just north of Taupo. Although the falls are only about 10 meters (33 feet) high, the volume of water is tremendous. Hart took picture after picture after picture. We haven't sorted through the pictures yet, so we picked this one at random.

The Honey Hive, our next stop, was a worthwhile experience of pure kitsch. And, I got to taste a bunch of different kinds of honey, some of which were fantastic. The most interesting item for sale was a pre-made mixture of honey and peanut butter -- a great idea, but the honey to peanut butter was tilted in favor of honey, which will never satisfy a peanut butter addict like me.
